The Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) UK qualification is offered by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). Upon completion of the exams and required practical work experience the CAT graduate will be able to apply to use the letters CAT after his or her name. In addition, they will have the opportunity to join the CAT alumni.
No prior knowledge of accountancy or formal academic qualifications is necessary to register. Certificates are awarded after completion of all three stages of the examinations and you are automatically transferred to Part 2 of the ACCA professional examinations.
The aim of these awards is to provide even greater access to the ACCA Qualification and offer individuals a flexible range of qualifications which will help them develop the relevant technical knowledge and practical skills required to perform in accounting technician roles.
